Competitions

The Georgia Math Competition is a contest for Math enthusiasts.  Register here before the February 26th, 2023.

Format:

• There will be 2 levels in the contest: Grades 1-5 and Grades 6-8. Students in 5th grade or below may choose to participate in the Grades 6-8 Level.

• The contest will be held on March 2nd, 2025 for Grades 1-5 and March 9th for Grades 6-8 at 11:00 am

• The contest will be held online on a Zoom call. The Zoom link will be sent out to the registered email 24 hours before the contest.

• No calculators allowed.

• Only use paper and pencil/pen for rough work.

• HONOR CODE: It will be up to the contestants not to cheat in any form.

• The competition will consist of 20 multiple-choice questions and 5 short answer questions for which the answer will be an integer from 0 to 999. 

• Questions will have different weightage based on difficulty. Questions 1-10 will be worth 4 points, Questions 11-20 will be worth 6 points and Questions 21-25 will be worth 10 points each. Participants will be able to see the weightage during the competition.

• The contestants will have 45 minutes to answer the questions on google forms.
